City extends design review moratorium to October 18

North Ridgeville approves 25 percent sewer rate hike

The North Ridgeville City Council voted to raise sanitary sewer charges by 25 percent. Officials said the increase is needed to keep the sewer fund solvent and cover repairs and emergencies. The rate rise lifts monthly bills from 2.95 to 3.70 per 100 cubic feet, with the typical household using 600 cubic feet monthly.

Officers With Guns at Grafton Prison in Training Exercise

GRAFTON officers will conduct a joint training drill at Grafton Correctional Institution at 8 a.m. lasting three to four hours. Spokeswoman Gwynette Shaw said the exercise will occur on prison grounds and should not disrupt traffic on Route 83.
