Man seriously injured after golf club attack in Lorain

Lorain 36 year old Joseph T Wilbanks was seriously injured early Saturday after being struck with a golf club on Garden Avenue. He was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland in serious condition. Edward A Lowell Sr., 37, of Lorain was charged with felonious assault and jailed without bond. Police said Wilbanks was injured after stopping his 1987 Pontiac Bonneville around 2 15 a.m. at West 21st Street and Leavitt Road following a reported hit skip incident.
