Tears Weeping Virgin Mary Observed at Camp Nazareth Gift Shop
At Camp Nazareth in Pennsylvania a red cloaked Virgin Mary icon reportedly shed tears while displayed at a gift shop. Witness Sam described fear and tears soaking sheets, while others noted the icon’s paper, plastic, or wood construction and a myrrh-like fragrance. The bishop linked the incident to a prior 1986 Chicago event of a similar weeping icon.
