Two National Tube Co Employees Honored For 50 Years
A native of Elyria and a Lorain worker were honored at a luncheon for reaching 50 years of service at National Tube Company. Clarence E. Standen, 65, expeditor in Engineering, and James Marsh, 64, heater in the Skelp Mills, received 50 year pins from General Superintendent Robert Urquhart. Standen began Jan 7, 1901, and Marsh started June 19, 1901, with long tenures tied to Lorain Works. Standen, lifelong Elyria resident, recalls early plant sites. Marsh, a Lorain civic figure, has served as councilman and in local boards.
