Former President Dwight Eisenhower, 77, was rushed to the hospital at March Air Force Base California after complaining of chest discomfort following a round of golf. An Air Force spokesman said doctors would brief later, noting observation as a precaution.
Weather notes report cooler weather with scattered showers ending by forenoon. Eldorado Country Club in Indians Wells was the scene as a planned visit by King Olav V of Norway to Eisenhower's home was canceled yesterday afternoon.
