U P A freed American prisoner gave authorities the handwritten list of 78 Americans still confined at Camp No 5 in Pyoktong. Pfc Everett Ritenour of Woodstock Virginia returned with the names in a small black book, alongside one Turk and one Filipino. He noted many prisoners were from the Panmunjom exchange and handed the lists to interrogators. The 21 year old First Cavalry Division member was held at Pyoktong near the Yalu for almost 30 months. Included names show Pfc Rudolph Pavlik of Enterprise Ohio and Pvt Joe Homonai of Wadsworth Ohio.

Soldier Reunites With Wife and Son After Korea Service

Twenty six liberated GIs arrived at Travis Field Wednesday with 30 day furloughs and homeward travel under way. A second group of 41 left Tokyo for Travis including ambulatory and litter cases with stops at Midway and Honolulu.
