Six additional applicants join the Lorain search to replace retiring Superintendent Tom Tucker. They include Megan Young from Toni Morrison Elementary and David Bowlin of Akron Digital Academy, with others from East Cleveland, Cleveland Heights University Heights, Warrensville Heights, and Westmoreland County Public Schools. The deadline is May 5 and a July 1 start is hoped.

Wellington Police arrest sparks internal memo on privacy
Goodrich, 32, of Wellington, was arrested on a domestic violence charge involving a 16 year old girl. The Chronicle-Telegram reported the arrest prompting an internal memo from LCMP official Ziemnik urging staff to curb rumors and direct questions to him. A temporary protection order is in place and a May 21 pretrial in Oberlin Municipal Court is scheduled.
