Wool Shipments Planned for Lorain Wool Growers
Lorain County wool growers will ship next week to the Columbus warehouse of the state association to stabilize prices. Wool gathered Monday afternoon at sash farm north of Oberlin and Tuesday afternoon at Wig McConnal farm west of Wellington will be sent for sale Thursday and Tuesday respectively. Over 20,000 pounds were sold through the state association last year, with more expected this year. Any grower may ship to the state association, mem ber or not. The policy aims to prevent market glut and price reductions in spring.
