Klansman Faces Year On Chain Gang In Atlanta
Henry Cauthon, a Ku Klux Klansman, was found guilty on one count of assault and battery for a flogging during a terror campaign in an Atlanta suburb. He faces the maximum penalty of one year on the chain gang plus six months in jail and a $2,206 fine. He was the first of 12 Klansmen indicted to be tried.
