Gay school plan halted by board in Long Island Bay Shore
Special education officials halted a plan for a one room school for gay and lesbian students after a Newsday report revealed staff had organized a class and advertised for students. Board president Bruce Brodsky said there should be no separate facility. The agency serves students with special needs including pregnant or disabled youths.
