State employees win pay raise. strikes remain possible
Gov James A Rhodes signed a 56 million statewide pay raise for about 82,000 workers plus a 6 million boost for judges. The raise, 20-40 cents per hour effective July 2, targets low earners with larger boosts. OCSEA and CWA considered strike authorizations. AFSCME locals authorized action if needed.
