A new factory with machinery will cost three quarters of a billion dollars and start operations the first week in June under A. Brandt. The steel frame, walls, roofs, and flooring are completed. The plant will absorb more workers and centralize sheet metal stampings for Oakland Six and Pontiac Six models to improve economy and production control.
A new steel and brick addition increases floor area by about 55 000 square feet. The structure includes sections of one and two stories enhancing the facility.
