Xian Commits Suicide Drowns at Quarry Hole Tragedy
In April 24 dispatches, John Pozak aged 59, a Vulcan Street resident, died by suicide by leaping into the Massey quarry hole near Elyria Iron and Steel works. Police learned of his disappearance from Steve Kis, who reported Pozak had threatened drowning himself. Pozak, intoxicated, left home at midnight and was found dead as divers recovered his body. Pozak left a wife and several children in Hungary, and had lived here about two years. A woman nearby expressed fear her missing husband may be the same man.
