EMH Auxiliary pledges 75000 for new surgery room
Elyria Wemoria Hospital receives a 875000 check toward the Laminar Air Flow surgery room from EMH Auxiliary at the annual meeting led by Mrs James Dall. The group previously pledged 100000 and funded scholarships, refurbished the maternity wing, and honored many volunteers with pins and ribbons.

Schwans celebrate fiftieth anniversary open house
Wilbert and Mrs Wilbert Schwans plan a golden anniversary open house on Sunday hosted by their children at 2220 Grafton Rd, Grafton. Married April 27, 1929, in Norwalk, they have two children and hobbies include gardening, crafts, and flowers. A fundraising project supports the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tourney in Media in June.

Elyria YWCA Trip to Frankenmuth Planned
Elyria YWCA will sponsor a Friday May 14 bus trip to Frankenmuth, departing Holly Hall at 7 30 am and returning about 1 30 pm. The program includes lunch at Bavaria House, possible Carling Brewery tour, and a snack stop on return. Reservations due by May 7 in person or by mail with the VW office.
