River flood forces shutdown of Lorain Co plant
Lorain County Electric Co reports the power house at Last Falls was flooded as Black River rose six inches per hour. Direct current equipment was suspended last night and remains underwater this morning. The plant staff evacuated at 11 pm and the river crest has not been reached.

Buick Stolen From Kenyon Garage In Break-In
A Buick was stolen Monday night from the Buick garage belonging to M. G. Kenyon of 424 Kenyon Street. The loss was not found until Monday afternoon. Entry was gained by breaking a rear window and the thief closed the rear door after driving away. Police believe the same man who stole a car from Savage last September carried out this burglary using similar methods.
