Uncut Dreiser Novel Sister Carrie to Be Published
The University of Pennsylvania Press will release the original 36 000 words cut from the Dreiser classic Sister Carrie next week. Carrot Orange Coloring May Fight Cancer
Researchers at Albert Einstein College of Medicine report that B carotene, the chemical behind carrot orange color, may limit or halt transplanted cancer cell growth in mice and boost chemotherapy and radiation. Experiments show prolonged life span even with many cancer cells present. Studies trace vitamin A actions for over 15 years, including slowing growth of certain breast tumors in mice.
