Woman and teen die in separate car accidents
A 26 year old LaGrange woman Patricia Carole Yancer died when her car struck a tree on Route 301 and burst into flames around 1 55 am pinning her inside. A 17 year old Sheffield youth Jeffrey Green died at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a two car crash at Route 57 and Chestnut Ridge Road. Edward Elliott and Omegea Van Meter were treated at the hospital. Yancer was a St Mary Church member and Glavie Dodge Chrysler employee. Funeral services set for Saturday.

Foreclosure Suits Rise Against Dettere Firm
Eleven more foreclosure suits were filed in common pleas court today against North Ridgeville developer Frank Dettere's North Ridge Investment Corp for an additional 2 million. The suits by Women’s Federal Savings and Loan cover mortgages in Center Gate Mills. Since April 11, total suits exceed 5.1 million against the developer or his company. Citizens Federal Savings and Loan, Cleveland, filed two additional actions: 44.89 acres on Wooster Avon Lake Road to satisfy a 1.4 million judgment dated March 24, and 88 acres to satisfy a 314,636 note default since February 26, 1980.

Blue Cross Billing Glitch Duplicates 2500 Bills in Yonkers
In Yonkers New York an overactive Blue Cross computer produced 2 500 bills to George and Mary Blagmone for 183 03 each, far eclipsing the correct total of 183 03. The bills began arriving April 8 with payment due at month end. A Blue Cross spokesman called it a computer glitch likening it to a space shuttle failure.
