Miss Ruth Weatt daughter of Mrs Nichard H L Wyatt of 203 North Main Street leaves Thursday for Los Angeles to sing with Duke Ellington's orchestra. A Oberlin high school graduate class of 1940 she toured the country with noted spiritual singers broadcast over Jordan. An audition in Chicago last December led to a telegram last Friday inviting her to join the Ellington band in California.
