Penney Store Opens New Basement Floor Tuesday
Elyria J C Penney store increases selling space by 14 000 square feet with a rebuilt basement floor and new air system. Manager A E Whitman, in charge since 1935 and with 17 years at Penney, oversees expanded departments including boys furnishings lamps clocks and more. Departments on the second floor doubled in size and layout improved to ease shopping.
