Robert Kubischke age three was taken to Amherst Hospital yesterday for treatment of a possible fractured shoulder after a traffic incident in front of his home. The accident occurred when a bus collided with a car driven by Z W Fas in Detroit, according to deputy sheriffs.

County prosecutor Howard R. Butler's daughter Helen, an eight year old, fell while jumping rope in the driveway at 800 Park Avenue yesterday and broke her left arm. She was treated at Elyria Memorial Hospital and sent home unable to celebrate her birthday tomorrow.
Lorain County Council of Parent-Teacher Associations reelected Mrs. Elmer Lore Brownheim as president A H Goodspeed East Carlisle as second vice president and Mrs Tilian Hare as treasurer. The spring meeting session featured Dr E L Terman Belden School and Sheriff Clarence W Dick speaking on education safety and law observance. Professor Frank C Moore of Western Reserve University addressed the audience on student learning priorities.
Grange members across Lorain County awaited results of the traveling Bible contest. The journey ended at Ridgeville Grange with 276 members from 12 of 14 Granges in attendance. A total of 2,295 Grange members participated in meetings countywide, as each Grange presented a program for others and the Bible toured between venues. The prize, awarded at the Pomona Grange meeting on May 2, goes to the winning Grange.
April 15. Twin brothers Fred and Dan Flowers of Findlay High School tied for top score on the state scholar ship test with 341 correct answers out of 400. They sat on opposite sides of the room and are so alike in appearance that teachers often confuse them.
The Organization Of Lorain County Education Association completed last night at the Vincent School with 2 constitutions adopted and officers elected. A. O. Wlds presided as president, Mrs Erhel Patterson as vice president, land Fari Lautensehleser as secretary and treasurer. Delegates to the Ohio Education Association were chosen, and the constitution sets the group as a professional organization affiliating with state and national bodies.
Palo Alto Cal April 5 Former President Herbert Hoover outlined a five point government program to restore long term confidence and criticized President Roosevelts New Deal. He urged reducing government expenditures balancing the budget establishing a real currency stopping inflation and other activities that destroy confidence. Hoover defended shorter hours as a long range goal but called Roosevelt failed as an emergency measure. He predicted a revival of capital enterprise and jobs with his plan.
D B Simons reviewed Elyria waterworks history for the Young Men's Republican Club. He noted 1902 bonds still outstanding totaling over 1.49 million with retirement planned by 1958 though refunding may occur. Lorain County Young Men's Republican Club announced a April 16 meeting at the Lorain Masonic Auditorium. Robert L. Barton of Columbus and Dale Stump of Van Wert are set to speak.
President Roosevelt could win quick congressional approval of a 30 hour work week by announcing support for Connery's 31 hour bill. House Labor Committee Chairman Connery said he favors the measure and sees procedural steps to move it forward.
The Board of Trustees of the Elm Home for the Aged held its semi annual meeting at the home with representation from the North East Ohio Conference of Methodism. Trustees and officers discussed reports and planned the care program amid aging population projections. Resolutions of sympathy were passed for the late D. W. A. Four men in a tan Chevrolet robbed Emil Ruth, store owner at South Amherst, about 11 20 am as he returned with £1000 from the bank to cash Cleveland Stone Co pay checks. They forced his Ford truck off the road, drove to Foster road, took his money satchel and watch, and threatened Ruth before fleeing. Deputies Nan Chapman Chapman Wood scoured rural roads but found no trace.
Former Ohio Governor George White, who served two terms beginning in 1931, married Agnes Hofman Baldwin in an informal ceremony at Rocky Fork Country Club in Columbus. Pastor Donald H. Tippett officiated as the couple proceeded to board a railway car for a world honeymoon trip.
