NEW YORK. April 4 H C Caster associate head of the Petroleum and Natural Gas operations of the Cities Service group and past president of the American Gas Association died at Petrclinic Hospital. He never recovered from surgery a month earlier. Caster, 52, is survived by his wife Maud Van Gundy of Oberlin Ohio and two daughters Marr and Mrs Edward Walsh Jr of Kansas City. He entered the H L Doder Co network in 1919 as general counsel to the Empire Gas and Fue Company. He was elected president of the American Gas Association in 1933. Born in Ohio, he attended Oberlin High School and Ottawa University.
Elyria area scouts will perform in the annual Scout Circus at Sandusky Junior High School on Saturday April 15. The program, first year under matron leadership, features a first aid dramatization with demonstrations by Troop 105 led by E P Gates, Troop 763 led by Willard Stoney, and Troop 119 led by C C Woodfill. Other Elyria troops will join in first aid demonstrations including live wire accident response and naptha cleaning drills.
