Upper Room Harmony At Church Of Christ Service
A large congregation filled the Church Of Christ for an Easter eve observance. Organ preludes created a reverent mood as eight candle bearers lit nearly 200 candles, elders and deacons prepared the Lord's Table, and hymnody with scripture and poetry framed the liturgy followed by communion and benediction. Three Sunday School scholars publicly professed faith, while a post service Easter party for Evelyn Nancy Lou and William Horace, hosted by Milford Horace at 552 East Broad Street, concluded with a recitation and a light meal.
