William and Helen Gehrke were honored at an April open house for their golden wedding anniversary after marrying in 1937 at St. Paul UCC Elyria. The Halcombs hosted the event in Elyria with two grandchildren noted. Earl and Emma Kubuske celebrated 40 years of marriage April 14 in Covington. They lived in Elyria 30 years before relocating to Florida. he drove for Murphy Motor Freight Lines and she active in Pilgrim UCC Women’s Circle. The Kubuskes enjoy bowling and garden, and miss old friends in the area.
