Report Ten U. C. Marines Killed in Nicaragua

A cable despatch reports ten United States Marines killed in Nicaragua near Puerto Cabezas amid fighting between rebels and guardsmen under Lieutenant Tatrah. Corporal Morales of the Guardia was wounded in two clashes. A Marine plane dropped food to a besieged detachment as about 125 rebels engaged the guardsmen. An unconfirmed note claimed 509 bandits killed 25 people at Bragmans Bluff.

Crestline April 14 Two deputy sheriffs with no guns failed to stop Rupert Juher 32 alias Roy Brown from escaping as he and the officers left a train for lunch. Juher, captured at Vermilion, had been held on forgery robbery and bigamy charges and was being transported to New York via Columbus when he bolted. Wallace and Rice to Be Taken to Prison Tomorrow

Sheriff Clarence Adams announced that Arthur Wallace and Waurice Rice will be taken to the penitentiary tomorrow if arrangements can be made. Wallace is to serve a life term for the slaying of Norman Watte in Lorain on January 28. Rice was sentenced to seven years for his implication in the crime.

Jealous farmer kills roomer in Ohio tragedy

In Medina County on April 14 a jealous husband stabbed Clayton McAfee and set fire to his wife Alice McGreggor 45 and stepson Harold Ridley 20 after dousing them with kerosene. The farmer Jim McGreggor 47 then hanged himself on the farm. Alice and Harold were hospitalized in Cleveland in critical condition.
