St Joseph’s rescue plan moves forward with two votes likely
Elyria Lorain County commissioners press ahead on a proposed three year rescue for St Joseph Community Center. The plan would have the county and city each contribute 450 000 over three years, with 300 000 from each entity toward the center and 150 000 from both to reduce 1.3 million in guaranteed loans. State approval and Columbus decision remain pending.

Avon Lake artist crafts 10-foot guitar for Rock Hall exhibit
Judy Kean, a stained glass artist from Avon Lake, is one of about 50 Northeast Ohio creators to design a 10-foot polyurethane guitar for Guitar Mania in downtown Cleveland. Her piece Psychedelic Saltwater Taffy mirrors a 70s Iron Butterfly vibe inspired by In A Gadda Da Vida. The works support United Way and the Rock Hall education fund, with Kean’s contribution sponsored by Baker Hostetler.
