Muggings on Fourth Street Tied in Elyria Police Search
Elyria police investigate three connected muggings on Fourth and East River streets between 5 and 7:30 a.m. A 73 year old Chronicle Telegram carrier Bruce Siffert, a teenage girl, and a man leaving Convenient Food Mart were attacked. Suspect described as a large black male in a heavy coat. Siffert injured and released. Siffert’s 2001 red PT Cruiser stolen with plate BT98XD. No arrests.
