Officials acted too soon on civil service exam list
Commission President Francis Carde said officials moved too quickly to certify the firefighters eligibility list before the protest period ended. Nine names were rescinded to rectify the violation, with a possible retake of the exam and a study on validation costs to be considered by commissioners on April 28.
