Avon Lake NRG tax appeal hearing set for June 29
The Board of Revisions dismissed NRG's complaint last month over an administrative issue and NRG has appealed to the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals. A June 29 hearing could yield a $1.3 million tax refund for 2013, largely from Avon Lake Schools. Gaier says the plant’s value is dropping and emphasizes ongoing investment and the alternative of plant closure. An April 23 adjudicatory hearing before the Ohio Power Siting Board will occur in Columbus. Contact Jon Wysochanski at 329-7123 or jwysochansi
