Connie Mack predicts Yankees fail to win fifth pennant
In a sports column, Connie Mack foresees the New York Yankees missing a fifth straight American League pennant. He goes further to say the McCarthy-led team won’t even finish runner-up, while Philadelphia Athletics would land third and the Athletics and St. Louis Browns would battle for sixth. Other owners share wishful thoughts, but wishes won’t yield victories.
