Lorain housing probe yields 4 guilty in federal case
Former Lorain County Prosecutor Joseph Grunda says the federal housing trial produced findings and hints of more problems. Four defendants Sanford Prudoff Elic Jacobozi Michael Koury and his wife Mavine were found guilty on 36 of 59 counts including unlawful interest in a public contract and grand theft. Koury sold a West 13th Street house for 9500 with Jacobozi giving a home as loan repayment. Federal funds paid 22741 for repairs on a home with 105 housing code violations. Grunda laments political damage from the investigation and notes he could have testified.
