Ohio University chief calls Gilligan budget mediocrity

Youth slain in Lorain pool hall doorway
In Lorain an 18 year old was shot dead in the doorway of the Happy Boys Pool Room on Vine Avenue. Jose Reyes, of 2045 East 30th Street, died at St Joseph Hospital at 1115 pm from a chest wound. Authorities say Elias Davila, 28, of 514 West 32nd Street, turned himself in at 1010 pm and is held in connection with the shooting after previously facing narcotics conspiracy charges. He surrendered a brown paper bag containing a .25 caliber revolver to desk officer Joe Montelon. A .25 shell was recovered at the scene.
