16000 Ohioans In Default On Home Loans
Washington April 9 Approximately 16 900 Ohioans delinquent in payments to the Home Owners Loan corporation were served notice that foreclosure suits will be instituted against willful defaulters. The HOLC said it will examine each case individually in the Cincinnati regional office. Ohio delinquencies were the highest in the nation with 34 percent of January billing 90 days or more in default. Leniency will be granted where owners cannot pay.
