Chicago April 9. C A Worrell general manager of the Railway Clerks Organization of the Chicago and Northwestern System says wage demands of five groups totaling eight hundred eighty thousand will be pushed as unauthorized strikes spread. Clerks telegraphers signal men maintenance of way workers and stationary firemen will demand increases from every railroad within a week.

Un authorized strike of railroad employees will tie up yards of five railroads in the Mahoning Valley District by three this afternoon. Officials say 2500 to 3000 rail workers are affected. Elyria Plant Plans Major Extensions
The Enameled Products company in Elyria has awarded contracts for a 60 foot sand blast addition to the tank shop, a 60 foot machine shop, a physical and ceramic research laboratory, and a 60 foot office extension. The sand blast unit will use Paxton equipment and the new shops will be brick and steel. Ground has been broken and work should finish in three to four months.

Bank official arrested as Struthers bank shut
