A body recovered from the East River in 2004 has been identified as Javier Reveron of Lorain. DNA matched Reveron, who disappeared Jan 13 2004 after flying one way to New York City. His father is a former Lorain councilman.

Judge cuts bond for man shot by North Ridgeville police
Lorain County man Jeffrey Phillips, 30, agreed to a case referral to a county grand jury in exchange for a reduced bond from more than 160000 to 100000. He remains jailed on a parole hold after an April 1 police incident in which officers pursued him during a domestic violence arrest attempt. Death penalty handed down to killer in Northeast Ohio
Jeremiah Jackson, 29, of Cleveland, convicted on 40 counts including aggravated murder and kidnapping, was sentenced to death by a three judge panel for a crime spree across three counties.
