Perch Limit Cuts Hurt Local Fisheries and Fundraisers
Western Lake Erie perch numbers fell from about 95 million in 1988 to under 25 million last year. Ohio has used perch limits before, including a 50 per day cap in the early 1980s later lifted as stocks recovered. Local fish companies report higher prices and seek other suppliers, raising costs for churches and clubs that host fish fries.

Suspect in Sheppard case eyed. DNA link hinted
Dr. Mohammad Tahir will extract DNA from evidence and compare it to Richard Eberling, already jailed for a 1983 Lakewood murder. Sam Sheppard's son alleges Eberling as a possible suspect in Mrs Sheppard's slaying. The Sheppard files remain missing from county and city archives, per lawyers. Eberling, 66, denies killing Mrs Sheppard but admits being in the house days before the death. He also says he cut his finger while changing storm windows and lost some blood at the house.
