Alumni Fund Tops Six Hundred For New Piano
NEW LONDON The New London High School Alumni fund for a new piano in the auditorium has reached the $600 mark. The drive began at the spring alumni reception in 1953 and has progressed steadily. Booster letters boosted participation to over 80 percent. Alumni president Galen Lehman said more than $500 has been received by mail and hopes to announce sufficient funds in two weeks. A Landes Memorial Piano will be installed in honor of Iran Landes, longtime district superintendent. Others hope the total reaches about $700.
