Fairview Seeks Exit From Three-Hospital Plan
Fairview General Hospital has asked to withdraw from a contract with two area hospitals for a new 200 bed hospital in Westlake. The plan, approved by the Metropolitan Health Planning Corporation and state, arose from a compromise between West Shore Health Center and St. John with Bay View and Fairview. Bay View spokesman Lindsay Ferguson cited negotiations to exit the agreement.

Oberlin College student Mark Kirby 21 of 34 North Park Street faced assault and disorderly conduct charges after two students wearing stockings entered Wilder Hall Thursday night and threw a pie at trustee Thomas Dietterch.
