A small group of pilgrims from the United States and Europe crossed Jerusalem’s military truce lines for a Good Friday procession to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. About 100 clergy joined Father Hyacinthe Faccio and 40 Franciscan Monks as consular officials began the route, while most Christians and Jews remained barred due to division.

Elyria census workers face cold weather rain and ankle deep mud slowing work while two days behind schedule on day six. Crew chief W C Walters notes some districts record up to 550 names daily though many workers have colds and Easter Week attendance reduces time. Three weeks more are needed to finish in assigned districts with weather possibly extending four weeks in others. Bids Open in June for VA Hospital in Cleveland
VA officials announced bids for a 500 bed veterans administration hospital to be built in Cleveland will open in June.
