Propranolol May Prevent Migraine For Frequent Sufferers
Dr. Seymour Diamond of the Chicago Medical School says daily propranolol can prevent migraines for those with three or more headaches monthly or those sidelined by migraines. The drug, long used for other illnesses, was approved by the FDA about a year ago for migraine prevention but is not for every patient. It is forbidden for asthma, heart failure, diabetes, or circulatory problems in limbs.
