Leechbook Eye Salve Faces MRSA in Modern Test
At University of Nottingham researchers revived Bald’s Leechbook eye salve to test its antimicrobial action against MRSA. The ancient mix of copper bile salts and garlic family plants killed about 90 percent of MRSA in infected mouse wounds and disrupted dense bacterial clusters in lab tests.
