Ohio residents weigh medical marijuana with concerns about youth use
Fairchild-Soucy and Councilwoman Linda Slocum express cautious support for medical marijuana citing economic benefits but worry about increased juvenile use. John Pardee, former Ohio Rights Group president, supports legalization yet voices medical doubts. His son Jason used marijuana for chronic pain after a crash, moving to California to grow it. Pardee argues marijuana can aid opioid withdrawal and challenges the gateway drug idea. Contact Jon Wysochanski at 329-7123 or Wwysochanski chroniclet.com.
