Ford Motor Co considering moving chassis and trim work from Lorain to the Avon Lake plant which now assembles van and light truck bodies and paints. A final decision could come this month with an early next month visit rumored by Henry Ford II. Avon Lake and Lorain together employ nearly 10,000 people.

Anthony Marsico Dies in Prison Heart Attack
Anthony J. Marsico, 57, former Elyria councilman, died at Chillicothe Correctional Institution at 9:45 AM from a heart attack while serving a ten-year sentence for stealing auto license funds. Marsico, who lived in an honor dormitory on prison grounds, collapsed at the waste disposal plant during his shift as deputy auto registrar. More than $324,000 in auto license money were involved. authorities say funds not recovered.
