Xenia Tornado of 1974 Wreaked Severe Damage and Loss

The 1974 Xenia tornado is described as the worst in recent history with thousands hurt and dozens killed. Radar signaled a tornado, emergency plans activated, power failures occurred, and debris spread to Delaware and several towns over 200 miles away. Xenia, nearly wiped off the map, faced ruined industries, schools, and scarce food, leaving residents stranded.

JFK killing probe widens as reporter cites others

Dutch journalist Willem Oltmans testified in a closed session of the House Assassinations Committee and said he knows of many others involved in the Kennedy killing besides Lee Harvey Oswald. He also linked his account to George Mohrenstaldt, the figure who supposedly died in Palm Beach after the panel expressed interest.

Oilmen deny JFK link in alleged plot hearsay claims

Dallas based oilmen linked by Dutch journalist Wil lem Oltmans deny involvement in Kennedy murder. Oltmans testified to the House Assassinations Committee that Lee Harvey Oswald and George de Mohrenschildt were named to Hunt and Logue. Logue and a Hunt family spokesman dismissed the claims as hearsay and defamation. de Mohrenschildt had died earlier in Palm Beach Florida.

Chess champ Levy defeats Cyber-176 in first computer match

Fire destroys Doyle home amid arson suspicions

Florence Township fire investigators probe suspicious origin at the Angling Road residence of Joanna Doyle less than a day after she testified to a county grand jury about her husband’s March shooting death.
