Pro-owner Tony Dulin explains major winter changes at Midway Golf Club converting from a par 33 executive course to a 3,005 yard par 36. Holes five seven nine were altered or rebuilt, with six new and nine combining older holes. Dulio, who bought the course in 1972, aims to open the new layout in May and considers adding a second nine either this fall or next spring.
Amherst High defeated Vermilion 70 to 57 in Lakeland Conference action on a windy day. Dale Friar led Vermilion with 16 points while Rick Zvosek led Amherst with 15 points as the meet moved to dual standings this year.

Dudley Humphrey of Cleveland seeks to repeat as Ohio Seniors Champion at Scioto Country Club August 16 to 18. Mort Bertram of Portsmouth Elks wins 1975 Juniors at Springfield. 21st Ohio Pre Seniors at Shawnee. 35th Ohio Juniors at Clovernook July 26 to 28.
The Greater Cleveland Women’s Golf Association opens its season May 28 with the first round of the Lila Reinhardt team play tournament at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield. The schedule lists monthly local events, several major tournaments at multiple clubs, and the championship week set for August 16 to 20 at Wooster Country Club.
The Cleveland District Golf Association lists two scratch golfers Kim Heisler of Aurora and Rick Jones of Tippecanoe as top players for 1976. Glenn Apple and Boots Widener of Wedgewood are rated at handicap one, with a larger group rated at two and three based on recent performance rather than personal handicaps.
