A 19 month old child of Mr and Mrs William Messmore died after ingesting about sixty yellow sugar coated laxative and strychnine tablets. The incident occurred about 9 am when the baby stood on a chair to reach the bottle on a table. The child convulsed and died at 10 45 am after being rushed to a doctor. The family had recently moved from West Salem Ohio and planned burial there.
