Sharon Steel Hikes Prices By Five Percent
Sharon Steel Corp. raised prices five percent on most products, adding $5 to $10 per ton and potentially $25 to the cost of a 1951 automobile. The move comes amid rising steel costs and pressure from the United Steel Workers for faster wage gains. Other automakers have boosted prices on 1951 models as steel industry studies price adjustments.
