Jessup denounces Soviet leaders as cruel and selfish
In a Middlebury College convocation Philip C. Jessup, American ambassador at large, blasted Russia's leaders as a cruel, selfish elite driven by power. He warned of propaganda tricks, predicted a eventual freedom revolution, urged combatting communism with truth, and praised wide education to sustain American liberty. He called for broader teaching on doctrines like communism.
