Fog and wrecks darken Stark county roads in heavy mist

In Canton and Stark county a dense fog and smoke blanketed the area, halting traffic for hours and triggering a multi-vehicle pileup on Waynesburg road. A school bus carrying 50 children collided with a coal truck injuring two riders, Anna Finley and Dorothy Pack Mayer. Police report Raymond H. Mark, driver of the coal truck, arrested for reckless driving. Two fatalities occurred near Findlay when a Nickel Plate train struck a car in fog.
