Yonkers New York July 5 AP Captain George Fried aged 71 famed master of America's largest ocean liners died yesterday. He commanded the Leviathan America and President Roosevelt and led sea rescues including rescuing 32 men from the Florida off Virginia and aiding the Antinoe with two crew deaths in a North Atlantic gale.

Conciliator to Sit in Timken Union Talks Wednesday

Canton Woman Dies From Burns In Fire At Home
Mrs. Cora Schlafly of 1256 Perkins Ave NW died at Mercy Hospital from burns after her clothing caught fire while burning papers at her rear on Monday. Native of Massillon, 81, widow of John Schlafly, she had lived in Canton 55 years and belonged to Trinity Reformed Church. Survived by son Homer Schlafly, daughter Helen Elder, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Services Thursday at Spiker Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Burial Westlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
