Wiper of the First National Bank plans a trip to dairy regions in Wisconsin Minnesota and Iowa to buy two or more carloads of pure bred dairy stock to bring to Bowbella for sale to local farmers He aims to sell at cost plus freight and seeks to boost Burke county into a dairy district He considers Shorthorns Guernseys and Jerseys and may form a stock company to build a creamery in Bowbells.

Reilly Must Serve His Sentence

Dr. J. J. Reilly lost his final appeal and faces ten years in the state penitentiary for an alleged illegal operation in January 1911. He was arrested at Larimore while traveling to Minnesota to sell land and will be sent to Bismarck soon. The 1911 District Court verdict found him guilty of second degree murder. the Supreme Court denied the appeal.

Tramps cause trouble at Ed Emery Farm last week

Mads Issing sought a revolver and loaned a shotgun to the women at the Emery farm south of the city after a series of break ins and nightly prowlers. Sheriff Stainhof er and Chief Miller warned hoboes to stay away as the Emery home, opposite the race track, faced repeated disturbances and a missing herd.

Forges Name of W C Tucker to Check At Bowllhells First State Bank

A man posing as Fred Thansvich, reportedly employed on the W C Tucker farm, forged a check drawn on the First State Bank of Bowhells for 168 46 at the Peterson store. He cashed a prior 36 check and fled after leaving Valley City area with stolen Owl lodge funds. warrants issued, authorities pursue.

Farm youth dragged half a mile in buggy wreck

Williston North Dakota May 27 A young farmer named Hanson escaped death when a buggy broke the neck yoke iron forcing the buggy to lurch and throw him. He was dragged over half a mile with his leg crushed yet he clung to the reins until the team halted. Amputation was considered but his leg was set and he is improving. His wife Florence Hanson narrowly escaped a worse fate earlier.
